Distribution Sorter
The 4th consecutive sorter project commissioned in the UK over a 3 year period. Both Siemens S7-400 and S7-1500 PLC's were used during these projects using TIA v16.1 and v17.

Carbon Fiber Prepreg Lines
Commissioning of 3 new prepreg production lines for a client who supplies the aircraft industry with class leading carbon fibre material. Allen Bradley control Logix PLC's and Powerflex drives were the key automation components in these projects.

Aluminium Lithographic Plate Line
A small team of 3 engineers supervised the installation and commissioning of the full line control and process system. A Siemens S7-319F Safety PLC, S120 drives and WinCC SCADA complemented this class leading machine.

Beloit coating machine.
Colin was a key member of the engineering team form Optma Control Solutions that replaced 121 Line and auxiliary drives on a 20+ year old Beloit paper machine. (that's him in the picture!) All the old drives were stripped out and replaced with Parker/Eurotherm drives. All controlled by a new Siemens PLC - Eurotherm LINK combination. The upgrade was carried out over a number of months on scheduled shutdowns.

Beloit Fine Paper Machine
Again Colin was part of a large engineering team installing a brand new fine paper machine in South Africa. He tested and commissioned 21 Siemens master drives controlling all the auxiliary motors on doctor blades, wire and felt stretchers. He spent a total of 2 months in South Africa and when the commissioning was complete, provided technical support for the start up team.
