About

In the Beginning.

Colin Keating left school in May 1990 and started his engineering journey at Oldham Engineering training centre and Oldham Technical College. He had an exceptional 4 year apprenticeship thanks to MEM 250v and their research and developement department known as TDS or Technical Developement Services. During this apprenticeship he studied ONC and HNC in electrical/electronic engineering, which combined with his apprenticeship has earned him an NVQ level 4 technician engineer qualification.

Let the work begin.....

In 1996 the unexpected closure of the company led Colin to his first working trip abroad, he was on his way to South Africa with Beloit Walmsley. He spent 2 months in Johannesburg commissioning 21 Siemens master drives on a fine paper machine installation at the SAPPI Enstra plant in Springs. With no prior site experience this was a genuine baptism of fire for Colin and little did he know that this is when the real work was about to start. Since then Colin has worked for some of the biggest and best OEM's in their respective industries and along side the very best engineers and engineering teams in the world.
